Herniated Disc, Numbness In Limbs, Regular Migraines, See Lightning, Shapes, Different Figures. Related To Herniated Disc?
Hi. I have a herniated disc in C5/C6 (for the third time). Numbness in arm and legs are better but starting to get migrains almost every day now. i also have problems with vision , black spots etc. It gets worse during the evening and I often experience seeing lightning, shapes and different sorts of figures when the pain is at its worse. Last night half of my head (back right side) got numb for maybe 6 hours. Is this related to my herniated disc? Sofia
Hello, Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query. I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through. Your migraine and herniated disc may not be related to each other. You certainly need to take care of your cervical herniated disc but migraine also needs to be taken care of. You can take sumatriptan for acute headaches but you will also require proranolol and divalproex sodium for prophylaxis. Hope I am able to answer your concerns. If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you. In future if you wish to contact me directly, you can use the below mentioned link: bit.ly/dr-srikanth-reddy
