Hey, How's It Going First Off Thank You For Your

Hey, How's it going first off thank you for your time.

My name is Rob and I have a interesting case to say the least. I do plan on seeing a ENT Doctor soon about it but I wanted to get input from others. For about 10 years I have had a very hyperactive gag reflex and it has really affected my day to day life. After awhile of talking / working out / other physical activities a tightness in my throat occurs making me have the feeling I'm about to gag. I'm forced carry gum and water around with me wherever I go to distract the reflex. It has caused me to have social anxiety because I'm afraid of gagging infront of people. For awhile I thought this whole gag feeling was a mental issue, so I went to a hypnotherapist multiple times who told me that if he couldn't fix it through hypnotherapy it was 90% likely a medical issue so figured I'd ask for professional medical help. Even when I am not having anxiety , that feeling is there (but obviously not as bad when I'm having anxiety)

I do have allergy issues with constant ear pressure / stuffed nose / etc. recently but that has only been of recent. I am dying to figure out what this could be , if there is a way of fixing it I'd do anything to have it solved. Thank you for your time and sorry for the long explanation.
