Hey! I Was Diagnosed With De Quervain And Was Given

Hey! I was diagnosed with de Quervain and was given a cortisone shot today. I was told the pain would be sore, but it’s extremely sharp pain, I can’t move any part of my hand without being in extreme pain.

I have no redness or swelling, but I was also not given any pain medications besides the advice to take ibuprofen which hasn’t worked with this injury for me at all. Is this a normal reaction to the cortisone shot?

I also feel nauseous and I didn’t know if I should go to the ER
