Hi - I Gave My 5 Year Old 2.5 Ml

Hi - I gave my 5 year old 2.5 ml of Delsym at 10AM this morning. It's about 6:30P and his cough is persistent. Do I need to wait until 10P to give the next does? I know it's supposed to be 12 hours, but I'd like not to wake him up at 10P tonight. I can hold off until 8P if needed but will that be okay?
