Hi Doctor, I live in London, had an incident on 9th June this year. I’d sex with a homeless girl and As I finished, I saw small slit on my penis head and little bit of blood. I kissed her as well. I got quite scared and went to private Clinic for PCR qualitative test for HIV1/2, HBV and HCV on 11th day. All came out to be negative. On 28th and 45th day tested for antigen/antibody - DUO which also were negative. After 3-4 weeks, I started feeling my body warm i.e. heat releasing from hands but temperature was not going beyond 36.6 degree Celsius. Also, my eye’s white turned red which optician said is due to chronic dry eye. Lymph nodes under the jaw. Eye rednes and under jaw lymph nodes are still there even after 6 months post to the incessant. I’ve gone through HIV blood tests post 3, 4 & 5 months and on 167th day ( almost 24 weeks ). These all cam out to be negative. Now, I’m worried that It could be HCV co infection which might have delayed the HIV seroconversion. Now it’s been 6th month post incident and I’m not sure which test can console me and conclude results. Should I go for HCV RNA and HIV RNA test to get solace?
