Hi Doctor, My Son Has Had Bad Ear Pain For

Hi Doctor, my son has had bad ear pain for a couple of days now. Went to doctor yesterday and he gave ear drops to lossen the wax. I took him back this morning because last night was terrible. I have never seen my son cry with pain like he did last night. The doctor syringed his ears out this morning...the first attempt was sore and some muck came out, the second attempt was more painfull and muck with a lot of blood came out. The doctor says it was an abscess that popped. I just want a second opinion......I was not with my husband took our son. I just want to know is this possible or is the a chance the doctor has popped my sons ear drum. PLEASE HELP!!1 THANK YOU
