Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Dr. I am 39 and in the 2 week wait of my first IVF cycle. I had normal range numbers with all my tests despite my age and we had 8 eggs at ER with 4 out of 5 fertilized and 3 immature. My Dr does a day4 transfer with fresh cycles. He has better success rates with FET, but worried our embryos wouldn't make it to freeze (with the exception of one possibly). We put all 4 back...two were poor one was fair and one was fair to good. My lining was over 13 mm and the last monitoring appt and I was prepped for a fresh cycle just in case (poi injections estrogen patch and pred) He gave us a 68% success rate, but for some reason I feel doomed for this not to happen and the wait is killing me. Why am I focusing on this 32% failure so much! Do I have a "feeling" or is this normal for your patients? Sorry to use you as a counselor:( I'm having a rough day...
