Hi! I am a 28 years old Female. I was recently given Bactrim (Sulfamethoxazole-Trimethoprim) for Acne Vulgaris. My dosage was one tablet twice a day, with meals (breakfast and dinner), for 10 days. Since the fifth day, my eyelids started swelling. My dosage is now over. But I am left with red, swollen. puffy eyelids and irritated eyes. No other symptoms or skin rashes. Will the puffiness and swelling subside on its own once the medication is out of my system? What do I do? Never taking sulfa drugs again.
