Hi I Am A 29 Years Old Male With A

Hi

I am a 29 years old male with a broken radius and ulna, I feel very good, I don't have any discomfort, I'm not taking any drug at the moment and I live in Scotland.

I broke both bones 1 week ago and I got and ORIF surgery in my left arm. The surgery went very well and I feel very good, I can move the fingers almost without pain and I see improvement almost every day.

The nurse that gave me the discharge letter told me that I will receive with my next appointment and this appointment will be between 2 weeks after the surgery to remove the stitches and see how is everything going. I have received that letter today and that appointment is going to be 4 weeks after the surgery.

Is not that too much time? I have no symptom of infection but I have been doing some research and the appointment is 10-14 days after the surgery.

Do you think is too much time and I should try to move the appointment forward? Or is norma to spend 4 weeks without any medical supervision after and ORIF?

Thanks a lot
