Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am around 68 years old with 3 stents & triple bypass surgery around 2 years ago. I take regularly cholesterol medicine (APO-ROSUVASTATIN 20 MG & ASPIRIN 81 MG). Could I take D3 & multivitamin with vitamin K included in it. I heard K is not right if anyone take the cholesterol medicine. But recently I went to the Healthy Planet vitamin store where there was a owner who is a medical & naturapathic doctor as well. He said the the lower mg of K is OK with cholesterol medicine. But I am not sure yet. I like to know if K is OK or not with cholesterol medicine. If OK, how much is the safe mg of K we could go for. Me & my wife uses kind of vegetarian vitamins. Most of the vegetarian vitamins D3 or Multi we find have K in it. Please guide us to solve this problem. Before my first heart attack in 2013 or 2014, I was taking D3 for many years from the company Swiss Herbal. Thanks
