Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am looking for the breast doctor, with the focus in the breast cancer. Please help me! My daughter 39 years old had been diagnosed with DCIS in the right breast two month ago. She is going to have double mastectomy with the implants because she has BRCA 2 mutation as well. She has big breasts and she was offered to have preliminary surgery in order to lift and decrease the size of both breasts after lumpectomy will be done. The reason for that is to provide better outcome for the implants. My very important question: during preliminary surgery the plastic surgeon can touch the cells just in case if they are sitting outside of the removed duct and it might be dangerous for my daughter?
Thanks a million in advance. Ms Zigelbaum
