Hi, I had a hysterectomy 6 weeks ago. It was a TAH. After 4 weeks I developed an infection below the incision line and had to go back to hospital. I had surgery to remove the collection then had an open wound that was changed every day with betadine gauze. Four days later I had the wound closed. As my stomach is quite swollen there is a fold over the stitches. I have had my daughter take a photo so I can see what it looks like and it appears quite black. My pain is minimal and I feel fine so I'm just wondering if this is just the bruising from all the poking and surgery. I'm due to have the stitches removed next Tuesday when it's been a week.
