Hi, I Had My Gall Bladder Out And The Incision

Hi, I had my gall bladder out and the incision in my belly button was still oozing. The doctor put silver nitrate in my belly button to promote healthy healing and stop the oozing. What should I expect? There is now gray creamy discharge and it's still slightly oozing. Should I clean it out or leave it alone? It's been 14 hours after it was applied.
