Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I had surgery at age 11 for an undescended testical in the hopes that it would prevent testicular cancer down the road. The left teste was much smaller than the normal right one. In my mid-forties during an exam the doctor informed me that my left teste had "died" and was not really present. So the scrotum sack on that side seems empty today and a few other times in the last three weeks I have experienced a pencil like pain sensation in the left scrotum that lasts for while and then subsided. I had a physical recently and made mention of it to the PA, but I wonder if I need to see a doctor or urologist for some sort of follow up. Any thoughts on my pain and discomfort that I am experiencing today. I did lifting of an adult with CP into a wheel chair several weeks ago and hope that I did not create a hernia situation.
