Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I have Hydrocephalus and a VP shunt fitted as a result of an AVM rupturing when I was 11, this was embolized about 4 months after the bleed and has been marked as "cured". I am 22 and currently I am experiencing very heavy periods which take a lot out of me, I have actually passed out twice due to this and find myself having to just sit down on the floor at times if its really bad. I have tried transanemic acid tablets but they didn't work, would you advise a contraceptive pill to stop it? even for a few months at a time? Also what hormone is the safest with my PMH
