Hi I have a question about herpes. I recently was tested vaginally because I had a sore and thought I had gotten it from shaving and maybe it was a spot that got infected. The dr swabbed it and sent it off and in the mean time gave me an antibiotic and i thought since it healed with the antibiotic that I was in the clear. Unfortunately I got the test back 3 days ago and I tested positive (I'm completely devastated.) Is there anyway that the man I am with has had herpes and has not had a breakout in the last 20 months we have been together? I had a baby 6 months ago and all of my blood tests were negative for it and I have NEVER had it. Apparently I got it abt 4 weeks ago when we slept together last. I just want to know if it is possible he has had this whole time and I never got infected. We never had protected sex. Or did he cheat on me?
