Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been on nexium for nearly a month for a suspected stomach ulcer, I have had reflux since very young as my flap doesn't work properly. For the last two mornings I wake up in excruciating pain in my solar plexus which shoots into my back and ribs. I have what feels like a constant hunger pang and the pain is temporarily eased when I eat. I have crohns and ulcerated colitis in my family but the doctor didn't think a scope was necessary. My stool is very dark but solid. Should I go for a second opinion? I'm 35, female, 5ft and weigh 58kg
