Hi. I have been prescribed and have been taking the lowest dose Gabapentin (3 100 mg tabs each night) for months for nerve pain from thoracic calcification causing nerve compression for which I have also been receiving intercostal nerve injections for several months (just received my 6th set of 2 levels last Friday). I have never increased that basic dose of Gabapentin, but have supplemented that pain management with over the counter meds (aleve 2x daily and rapid release tylenol 2x daily - staggered). I suddenly woke up today with what felt like pressure in my left ear, and at this point it still feels somewhat muffled with some mild ringing. I put in these meds and symptoms and came up with aspirin poisoning as my strongest suggested diagnosis. Im seeing an ortho tomorrow am for a finger I broke 6 weeks ago but only just confirmed it was broken and was going to mention the ear issue at my appointment although its not their specialty, and will also leave a message with my general md. But thought I would run this by you here also.
