Hi. I hope so. I have both HBP and type 2 diabetes. Until recently I had been on lisinopril and metformin, but I had a 5% drop in renal function, so my doctor took me off both and substituted amlodipine besylate 10mg and tradjenta 10mg. I had an immediate reaction the first day, with massive water collection in my ankles and calves. At 9 days I had packed on 10 lbs of water weight. She took me off both and started me lasix to remove the water, It's working, but slowly. Now she wants to put me on a beta blocker (I don'tlnow which one). WebMD says these also cause fluid retention. Does this conform to Einstein's definition of insanity? Also, there is mention of dizziness. Will it affectt driving?
