Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I removed my tonsils 9 days ago and last night I ate a small piece of grilled steak and it seems that the piece I ate was a little crispy and got stuck in my throat or where my tonsils use to be on the left side. I drank lots of water between bites and everything was fine except for that one piece. I drank a lot of water after that and I even threw up and a piece is still stuck there. It feels like it is stabbing me and it's making my left ear hurt and making me lightheaded. I gargled with warm and with cool water, I tried eating jello to see if that would help push it down, I brushed my teeth and tongue to see if that somehow helped, but it won't go down. I've checked in the mirror with a flashlight and I don't see anything but I do feel it and it's a bit painful and very uncomfortable. Is there any way I can remove this or have it go down or is this a waiting game and eventually it might go down on it's own?
