Hi. I take generic tegretal for seizures. My neurologist had me on 200 mg, one am, one mid afternoon and 2 at bedtime - total of 4 pills a day. There was a mold issue where I used to live and my seizures came back and she added one more to the a.m. dose then when the seizure continued another to mid afternoon. I soon after got a new doc. When he refilled all meds in his name he wrote for 400mg TID - one bottle said to take one every 12 hours 3 x a day ???? is this an extended release form? I started taking it BID and my head cleared so I think I was taking too much. I obviously don't drive and haven't been able to get in to see my neurologist for over 3 months now.
I know when I use the toilet, the pill comes out whole and my mother said it's slow release.
