Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I'm a 15 year old female in a High School weights class. The other day we were deadlifting in class and we were maxing so as I went up in weight I noticed I was lifting more than I weigh. The next class period the under part of my right wrist started burning and had bright red streaks. I immediately washed my hands up to my elbows thinking my skin was just irritated. That night the redness had went away but a bump on the outside of my right wrist along with swelling, so I put ice on it and went to sleep. When I woke up the morning the bump felt like there were more bumps underneath the skin along with a moderate amount of bruising. My mother says it is a busted blood vessel, but I'm not so sure. Can you help?
