Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I'm an 80 year old male and have been experiencing periods of mild shaking cold and the hot during the evening. I was anemic and was put on 10mg/ml testosterone cypionate injections every 10 days; however, my nephrologist asked me to reduce it to bring my hemoglobin down to 11 or 12 because he was concerned about increased stroke risk - I dropped to 0.4 ml every ten days for several months. Then my PSA had a sudden rise from long term 1.0 to a 2.1, so in taking with my urologist we decided I should try stopping the testosterone completely. I will be retested in early September, but suspect I am back to being anemic. Could this possibly cause the alternating hot and chills?
