Hi! I'm Not Trying To Get Pregnant, First Of All!

Hi! I'm not trying to get pregnant, first of all! I was at the emergency room today because I've been experiencing abdominal pain and they came back telling me it's probably a ruptured follicle. What does this mean? How long does the pain last for? Will this pain occur everytime at the beginning of a menstral cycle? What's the best pain killer to take to be able to go about my day? Will this cause a problem for the future when I do try to conceive? I'm currently on birth control and I've rarely every experienced bad cramps before my cycle as well..
