Hi! In The Late Fall Of Last Year I Began

Hi!
In the late fall of last year I began to have more pain than usual with my right knee. It was not surprising to me since that knee was injured slightly in a fall back in 2006. Also my activity level was through the roof with driving multiple times over 600 miles one way preparing for a move. I assumed all would get better once I was able to relax and put my knee up for a few days. Before I was able to do this it got to the point that the pain was so intense that I was no longer able to drive on that last long trip. I came to our new home and town and propped up my knee and began the hot and cold therapy you would do at home. As I continued to stay off my knee and treat it with pain patches and hot and cold therapy I began to get weakness and pain over the rest of my body.... At this point I began to seek out a new doctor in this new town that took our insurance plan. This went on for a couple of weeks with no success . No one was taking new pts. At this point just after the new year, I finally found one walk in clinic that had one doctor once a month that would see me. I went! The took X-rays of the knee and referred me to an ortho surgeon for what he thought was a baker's cyst. The ortho looked at the X-rays , did an exam and said all he saw was arthritis. I received an injection and went home with a happy face because for the next 5 days that shot not only released my knee but also all of the pain and weakness throughout the rest of my body. I was so sad when on day six while my knee continued to be better the other pain returned throughout my body. I waited and returned in two weeks and received another injection at which time I asked the ortho Doctor what would our plan of care be for the long term pain that I was experiencing. ( I was thinking by now this was all some sort of arthristis . ) He at this time referred me to a GP that would be covered on my insurance advising me that he was a surgeon and I would need to make that decision with my GP.....
Next day I go in to see my new GP and he started a wellness exam and came back immediately with my pallets and blood count was off......And that a scan of my adomien showed diverticulitis. So at this time I get an antibiotic tic and another doctor.....So still in pain and having trouble walking and getting in and out of cars I wait just over a week to see a hematologist......he takes more blood and determines I have low iron but that is all he can find . He orders transfusions starting the next week which my insurance denied. They want to try oral melds first...By now I have taken the 10 day round of antibiotics and have noticed a fair amount of relief in my pain level.....Going from an ongoing 7-8 to a functioning 3-4.
Now back to the hemotologist for results which I mentioned before were low iron.....he prescribes two months worth of iron pills in Lou of the insurance not going for the transfusion....He sends me back to my GP to discuss pain management for the ongoing pain which is getting worse again. He prescribes a mild sleeping pill and suggest that if ai sleep better my pain will decrease and follows with a referral to a rheumatologist ....
Another week or more goes by and I see this doctor. He suggest I may have fibromyalgia and increases the sleeping pill a little at a time up to as many as five a night to see how much it will take to get me to sleep through the night.....
I am 52 years old, female, with one kidney ( other removed at age 3), asthma, take 10 mg tablet for blood pressure, very active up until ladder part of last year... Currently I have trouble supporting myself to turn over in bed, I cannot reach behind me for a jacket sleeve, seatbelt or to bath. I have pain in my hips hands shoulders and knees which is increasing back to a point that I am having trouble getting up out of chairs.....I have to wait to stable myself and then walk carefully with much pain and weakness in my hips and knees....Stairs are a big struggle. I currently am not scheduled to see any of my doctors for another month or longer. I need some direction please . It is a struggle just to pick up a glass with the pain and weakness in my hands. I don't even know which doctor I should be in touch with as my conditions worsen.
Thank you for taking the time to sort through my lengthly letter.
