Hi
My boyfriend has a lymph node on the left side of neck under jaw approximately size of olive/grape (maybe 2cm) and also 2 smaller ones (<1cm).
Lymph nodes are painless, oval shaped, wax and wane but do not grow in size, mobile, moveable, soft/rubbery, and the biggest one has been there for at least 9months, possibly longer.
He has had some type of untreated staph infection on his scalp which causes boils that puss and bald spots all over his head for about 4 years.
CBC was normal and lymph node ultrasound showed possible reactive lymph node. No night sweats, weight loss, loss of appetite, fever etc.
Could the scalp infection be causing the lymph nodes on the side of his neck? Should we be concerned about the characteristics of it? Thanks.
