Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. My mom is 88 years old and has nausea and pain when she eats any solid foods. She doesn't have this problem with any liquids. She has a history of heart problems in the past where stents were put in her arteries and she still has some blocked arteries but she takes aspirin for that. She is not on any other medication. In the past the Doctor prescribed pantoprazole for her stomach but it doesn't work all the time only once in a while and when she takes this medicine her stomach hurts. She has been to the hospital many times in the past but she has never had a scope down her throat to her stomach to see if she has any ulcers. She doesn't have any blood in her urine or stool. Should she get that scope examine to look in her stomach?
