Hi,
My wife is 30 weeks pregnant and we have a plan to travel by road to attend a function this weekend, the one way route will be around 5 to 6 hours, we have to stay there for around 3 days and come back same route, My wife didn't have any complications during her pregnancy so far, during her last appointment with her Doctor, she asked her about travel, the Doctor said its ok to travel but she also prescribed Duphaston "dydrogesterone" 10mg, two tablets a day (Morning and evening), she asked her to start it one days before the start of the travel, continue having it during our stay in other city and during travel and once we are back take it for another one day and then stop, so its a total of 7 or 8 days, I am just curious, that if there are no complications, is there still a need to take this medicine? Is this safe in third trimester? I have seen online that it is usually prescribed in the first trimester but just wanted the expert opinion that is this ok to take this medicine just for safety precaution as it prescribed by the Doctor? Any other safety guidance for road travel?
Thanks in advance.
