Hello. I am a 24 year old female. I was in a car accident exactly 7 days ago. Nothing is broken or fractured but I have really bad seatbelt bruises and my upper right side (chest, neck, shoulder, back) is very painful to move. I used to need assistance getting up and laying back down but every day I am a bit more mobile. The hospital sent me home with ibuprofen 600 mg and methocarbamol 500 mg. I woke up 2 days ago with a numbness on the right side of my right breast. I went to my doctors nurse practitioner who told me it will just take time for it all to heal and I may or may not have permanent nerve damage. She said there was no specialist I could go to for nerve damage. Since then I notice the numbness worsens and spreads when I sleep on my right side or even if I just lay down for a long period of time. This frightens me. I want to feel. Pain is much better than numbness. I’m seeking a second opinion.
