I had typhoid twice in last 2 years. And since my last typhoid during march 2015 I m having coughing. Did chest x ray and it said some unspecific infection. Also mentioned irregular nodularities in lower area of lungs. Coarse bronchoviscular markings. This was in march. The then dr who was seeing my typhoid gave some cough syrup. But coughing was not cured properly and it continued atleast once a day as dry cough. Around july it started disturbing my classes.by d way i m a teacher in an engg college. I used to take 2 hr lecture claases at a streach. Now i went to another dr. He gave azithromycin for 1 wk. Then cefiximin for 1 wk then livofloxacin for 10 days. No improvement. Then he did a blood test and eosinophil is 6% others are normal. But when i compared with march blood test report i found wbc count became 9000 from 5000 in last 4/5 months. New chest x ray done on 27 aug and it came all normal. But my coughing continued. Finally dr said it may be phyrigitis so just gave corituss cough syrup and some herbal septilin. But my coughing is just same as when i started medication. I forgot to mention very first day dr gave me montelukas and second day my condition improved. But after a wk it was same.so i discontinued montelukas after 13 days. Please sugesst what do i do now? Can it be sarcoidosis or lung cancer? It is dry cough almost no mucus.
