Hello.
Thanks for choosing HealthcareMagic forum.
Bed wetting in children beyond five years of age is considered due to mental insecurity or psychological problem. You need to reassure the child and if it is a daily routine then set up an alarm at midnight and make him pass urine to make it a habit.

Homeopath Dr. Anshita Singh Rathore's  Response
Hi
Welcome to Healthcaremagic Forum

There can be a number of reasons for this, like worm infestation, fear, insecurity, need for attention, bladder infection, or a neurological cause.

Make sure he empties his bladder before bed time, does not take cold milk/ milk shake/cold water at bedtime, and you can wake him after 4 hrs to make him urinate (this is for your convienience), if he is watching TV at night, make sure its nothing violent/horror etc.

Deworming can help , if there are symptoms like anal itching, nasal irritation.

Homeopathic remedies help in childhood enuresis, evn if its neurological cause.
So you can consult a homeopath as well.

Hello.. our son is 8.5 and just starting to get a handle on it. we are using an alarm that hooks up to his underwear(pottie pager). it just help to create an awareness during the night so he can recognize that he needs to hold it or stop the flow. my understanding on this is that it is quite common...we are all different. my guess is this will help you and your child. hugs.
