Hi i was wondering what was going on with my throat. I was on amoxicillin for a sinus infection last week and after 8 days had an allergic reaction to it. So I stopped taking the antibiotics and started taking Benadryl for the rash. I stopped taking Benadryl two days ago and last night the right side of my throat started to swell. It was still swollen this morning and has gotten worse as the day progresses. My throat is now noticeably swollen up to my right ear. The inside of my throat on the right side is red and twice the size of the left. The back of my throat has red streaks down it. It hurts to swallow, talk, and move my tongue. My tongue also feels numb on the right side near the back of my throat and there is a weird taste in my mouth.
