Hi My 13yr Old Daughter Needs Braces. I Have 2

Hi my 13yr old daughter needs braces. I have 2 orthodontists opinions. We have made our choice now I am concerned it's the wrong one! First ortho recommended braces only, suggested should of worn either expander or face ask but has missed that window. Second suggested 5mth helpers face mask followed by braces - concerned she could have issues later if not treated now. We decided on the second - are we putting her through extra trauma unnecessarily??
