Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi my cousin is 63 years old and has Multiple Meyaloma stage 3. He is very ill, weak and can hardly walk as well as losing mega weight and no appetite. He is on his last cycle of chemo. My question is... if cancer cells are still present once he has completed chemo can he still have a stem cell transplant? What physical condition does he need to be in before this can be done and if he can not have the stem cell transplant what is his life expectancy in your opinion
Thank You Elaine K.
