Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, my daughter is 7 years and 10 months old and wets her bed every night. She has also been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome . Her paediatrician has ordered Minirin Melts 240 micrograms for the bed wetting. She is not currently taking any other medications. We have tried a bed wetting alarm for many months and also tried waking her to go to the toilet. She sleeps very deeply and nothing seems to wake her. I am worried about giving the Minirin to her though. She drinks a lot during the day and I read that there can be side effects, including seizures, if too much fluid is consumed. I am also worried as she was prescribed Singulair for asthma when she was 5 and had one of the rare reactions from it where she became very depressed and wanted to die. It was very scary for us. Do you think it is safe to give the Minirin?
