Hi my husband has been in icu for three weeks this past week in step down from icu with severe cirrhosis/hep c / severe neuropathy and is diabetic had a tracheostomy done dr is now considering doing abdominal feed bag has been on nose feed for over a month now. His ammonia levels keep rising within this past week today at 103 bilirubin 8.9 alt 60 ast 160 . Today seemed alert hasn’t been able to speak since he first was admitted and intubation. What are his chances of making it to be able to walk and speak. He comprehends and will only follow commands like raise eyebrows squeeze hand and tur head a little.
