Hi My Husband Is ADD, Is Dealing With Depression On

Hi my husband is ADD, is dealing with depression on medication, and I think is drinking too much about every day when he used to have maybe one drink during the week and on the weekends. I have been living with ALS for five years, unable to speak and limited mobility. Have caregiver 4 days a week. We own insurance brokerage business that he still works in but highly unproductive at this point. In addition he has severe loss even with hearing aids and is not able to communicate well with clients over the phone. Our relationship is strained because of his weight gain and bad ankle, hardly able to walk or help me. I was in sales for 30 years until I got sick, lived very healthy, exercised, etc. I handle all my personal health care, manage the household, lawn maintenance, hiring and instructing caregiver, correspond with my wonderful support team, pay the bills and have student helper that assists with bookkeeping and filing for personal and business. I use iPad for verbal and written communication. My husband of 44 years is struggling with managing his life mentally and physically. At night, he is like a zombie, poor memory, easily agitated, irrational and basically a mess. He is of little help to me dealing with serious disease. I send him emails and if he responds, he doesn't comprehend or retain any information. Nor does he follow up on the few tasks I give to him. He sits in his chair with either phone or laptop. I think he is addicted to technology too. He is not the same sweet, great guy I married. It has become a nightmare for me. Fortunately for me, my disease had leveled off and has not progressed too much, but I am concerned that if I do progress, that I will not be in good hands with him "helping" me. Everyone loves him so I have no one but my pastor that I can share what I am living with at this time. I plan to send him this link tonight and relay my concerns. Thanks.
