Hi, My Sister In Law Had A Surgery A Month

Hi, my sister in law had a surgery a month ago. She was diagnosed with cancer on her stomach. So
She had her stomach removed . The doctor said the recovery would take 10 days, but 30 days has passed and still cannot feed herself through her mouth. And there is still se fluids cOming out her cut. What's worry me the most is that her leukocyte count is getting higher each day started with 20000 and now 25 000. There is no fever, so they discarded that might be infection and the hospital is giving her Antibiotics after antibiotics. I always thought that antibiotic is given for infection . Just worried if they are not treating the cause. What is in your opinion could be causing the high leukocyte count? Thanks in advance.
