Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, on the 30th my throat was a little sore in the back because of probably nasal draining. However around 5 pm I picked up a fever and felt nauseous or like I would pass out if I stood too long, although I was out and about in the sun so I don't know if that was part of it. Yesterday, I was stuffy and my throat began to become sore; it hurts when I swallow. Now I think my fever's gone down but my throat still hurts. I looked in my mouth and the back of my throat just seems to be red and irritated with some small capillaries visible. I've had a history of strep throat as a kid but I don't have my tonsils now, so I'm hoping this isn't strep. Could it be strep or is it more likely the flu or a cold?
