Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi there, I am not sure how this works so I guess we will see. Basically from what I've looked up, my symptoms are suggesting I may have gall stones. This odd feeling in my upper right abdomen first appeared months ago and every time it hits it's slightly more uncomfortable then the time before. Most of the time anyway. Until a couple of hours ago I was experiencing the worst 'attack' yet. I'm a fit 33 y/0 male who my footy mates would describe as a tough player. I am booked in for an ultra sound next week. My GP gave me a referral on Tuesday. However he asked me if the Tramadol I'm prescribed was helping and it was but these last two attacks have just been bullshit. Compared to pain I've experienced I'd say 6/10 in scale. I've also takes two Panadeine today each totalling 60 mg codeine and 1000mg paracetamol. I can go to my mums house and she said if needed she can give me a few endone from her fairly recent surgery but it's about 45 mins to an hour away and for silly family reasons I don't want to visit right at the moment. Basically any suggestions would be appreciated. What would you do? My GP isn't Open on weekends unfortunately and although my pain has since dropped significantly I don't want to resort to drinking strong alcohol for pain. I heard this is bad with my medication. I also take 10 mg of lexapro a day and sometimes 2.5 mg lorazepam for anxiety and panic attack disorder. Sorry for rambling on but too much info is better then not enough for you guys right? Thank you
