Hi There. My Cat Is 1.5 Months Old. He Vomited

Hi there. My cat is 1.5 months old. He vomited five days ago and is not eating right now. He stopped vomiting after one day. I went to the vet for the last three days. The vet did xray and found nothing inside. Then the vet did blood test and the result shows that he has dehydration. The vet gave injection for dehydration and helped him to expel the stool. The vet did xray for a second time and found that the stomach has become bigger, after three days without eating. The vet said there's now more gas in his stomach. The vet would like to open him up to locate the reason why he vomited and is not eating. Is it a good idea to do that? Any suggestion why my cat Simon is not eating?
In addition, we have another cat, his sister, River. They have same diet and they are siblings and of the same age. River is totally fine.
