After taking a high dose of Lipitor for several weeks my husband developed severe muscle weakness in his legs. (he had 2 stints put in). After reducing the dosage to the amount he was taking before it got a little bit better but not very much. What is causing this and what can he do for relief until his next appointment?
Lipitor contains atorvastatin which are known to cause muscle fatiguemuscle cramps, pain, stiffness, swelling, or weakness, unusual tiredness or weakness And side effects include puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue shortness of breath skin rash tightness in the chest. so you can hold lipitor and consult your doctor.
I hope that I have answered your query. Let me know if I can help you further.
