Hip Pain Increase On Sitting, Abdominal Pain In Pelvic Region. Pain In Left Leg, Stiffness. Total Hysterectomy Done

For several weeks I have had left hip pain that increases with sitting. I have abdominal pain in the pelvic region as well. Sometimes I have to use a cane to walk. The pain is in my left leg to my foot sometimes and the entire side becomes stiff sometimes. I can often walk it out but I have to be careful bending, lifting, sitting, or squatting.
I have had a total hysterectomy over a year ago.

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
I would come up with these possibilities for this severe pain in the left hip joint, these includes.
1 Pinched nerve ( sciatica ) , diagnosis can be confirmed by C T scan and X ray of lumbar sacrum region . As you mentioned that there is severe pain radiating to leg , foot , as all these symptoms are an indication of sciatica nerve involvement (pinched)
2 Degeneration of head of femur . Diagnosis can be confirmed by C T scan & X ray of head of femur.
3 Osteoporosis , diagnosis can be confirmed by blood examination and bone density test.
4 Osteoarthritis , diagnosis can be confirmed by C B C and E SR .
Hysterectomy have not any role in this pain.
In my opinion consult an orthopedic surgeon and get his opinion.
Good luck. Dr. HET
