History Of Anxiety, Depression. Having Repeated Thoughts About A Certain Thing, Disrupts Normal Functioning. Solution?

Okay so I have had a past history of depression and anxiety and when something bothers me I tend to focus on it h until I can't function normally and It takes over my thoughts. I work at camps with kids and I was talking to one making eye contact with him and when I turned from talking with him a girl was sitting on the couch beside him and her pelvic area was right in my line of sight I went by there and turned right back to that same area again out of like an OCD fit that I sometimes deal with. I'm not into kids or anything like that I just can't stop focusing on that event happening and I just want to forget about it

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi there ~

I understand your concerns. I believe that you may have had an acute transient psychotic episode when you thought you saw something that was not actually there, which is called a visual hallucination. In your case it was a girl that was sitting on the couch beside the kid. I also think that you may need to take antipsychotic medications along with the medications that you are taking for depression and anxiety. I am assuming that you are being treated by a psychiatrist for the same, and you need to consult the same psychiatrist and let them know what is going on. I wish you the very best in your recovery.

I hope this helps. Take care and have a lovely day!
