History Of Hepatitis C. Dizzines After Suffering From Heat Exhaustion, Dehydration. How Long Does It Last?

Hello. I am a 34y/o M. I am VERY healthy and athletic. I take care of my health specifically. I have had Hepatitis C since childhood. I almost never have any issues. Two months ago, I suffered heat exhaustion/dehydration. Since this, I have a constant state of dizziness. I have never experienced this before. I have been to my GI. They tell me they could run tests, however I am probably not a good candidate for treatment, since my symptoms are not severe enough- " the side effects may be worse than what I would deal with, if untreated." 1. How long does the state of dizziness usually last? 2. Is there any new treatment for HCV other than Interferon?

Hello,

You should not panic.
You're having Hepatitis C since childhood. There are some long term complications of the infection like Hepatitis cirrhosis and hepatoma.
Involve yourself in the screening process.
Once the results are out then treatment options can be discussed.
Prevention is always better than cure.
