History Of Hysterectomy. Taken Premarin. Have Hot Flashes, Night Sweats, Insomnia. What To Do?
had a full hysterectomy 10 yrs ago and immediately went into menopause. Went on 'premarin' for a few yrs but read too much about it and discontinued. since then i had gone the holistic route, but that didnt seem to help. currently on black cohash, evening primrose, st johns wart, estroven and just recently went on the miniville patch (which seems to make everything worse)..its been yrs fighting hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, etc. not sure what to do...
Your symptoms are quite clearly associated with menopause. And in my opinion the first course of medications prescribed would be the best option here.
It is a decision you will have to make by weighing the pros and cons, but hormonal supplementation would be the best next step. Do visit your doctor for the same.
Best wishes.
