History Of Jock Itch. Have Pale Patches Between Scrotum And Inner Thighs, No Change In Size, No Itching Or Smell
Hi, I had jock itch ( at least i think it was) years ago (19 years old) , used Dettol to get rid of it. All that is left is just two large pale patches on the skin between scrotum and inner thighs, no change in size since, looks like the skin is sloughing off constantly, doesn't itch, no discomfort, no smell. Do you know whats going on?
It may sometimes be just left over patch of your previous jock itch, just like a scar and no need to bother about the same. If it is slightly wet always then it could be an intertrigo. It is due to excessive sweating and maceration of skin. Sometimes it may be super infected with fungus. Then there will be itching. A flexural psoriasis also may look like this. Treatment is different according to the condition if there is any indication.
So it is better for you to consult a Dermatologist and he will guide you and decide about the treatment. Dr S.Murugan
