Hit Shin, Got Bump, Bruised, Swelling Around Ankle And Heel? Any Home Remedies?
A little over a week ago I hit my shin very hard on the edge of a boat while getting out of the water. I had a pretty good bump, but iced immediately. Today I noticed brusing and a little bit of swelling around my ankle and heel? Any home remedies you could recommend? Don t have any insurance at the moment. Thank you.
Hello Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. This is due to inflammation and may be infection. Mere inflammation can be cured with following measures. 1 Massaging with ice . 2 Complete bed rest with feet end raided about 4 inches with blocks. 3 Anti inflammatory drugs like aceclofenac +serratiopeptidase ( in combo pack ) twice in day for 3-4 days. If no relief with above mentioned measures then you must consult an orthopedic surgeon. Good luck. Dr. HET
