Hives On Legs, Swelling In Eyes. Taken Benadryl. Why Would This Happen?

Hi, I have recently experienced hives on my legs one morning, they went away during that day. Then, the next morning woke up to swollen eyes and hives on my legs & arms. I took a benadryl and that cleared everything up in a few hours. The next morning, I was fine, no hives or swollen eyes. The next 2 days hives on my legs (mostly at the top) and arms. They are not really itchy and my eyes were only swollen that one morning.
Any ideas?

Hi and welcome to HCM. Thank you for your querry.
It is always hard to find the exact cause for such allergy reactions but in most cases this is contact dermatitis or insect bite. Also there can be food or inhalatory allergy sou you can do skin allergy testing to find is there cause in some of the most common. Nothing srious can happen from hives but if you notice breathing difficulties you should go to doctor immidiately. Wish you good health.
