Hole In Eardrum, Getting Headache, Swollen Ear, Bad Smelling Ear Wax. Treatment?

i have a hole in my ear drum and my ear is seeming to get worse! i now lay on that side or touch my ear. i also am getting headaches that hurt really bad. on top of all this my inner ear is swollen like i cant put my finger where the opening to my ear is because it is so swollen. the wax also kind of smells what should i do?

Hello.

It seems that you have an inner ear infection which is causing pain and swelling. You need to consult an ENT specialist for a thorough examination and systemic antibiotic therapy. Meanwhile avoid inserting any foreign body into the ear and do a hot fomentation for temporary relief.
